Parking
Parking at SUNY GCC is free. Students, faculty, and staff who park on-campus can obtain a free parking sticker from Campus Safety. Parking stickers enable campus safety to reach you in the event of an emergency involving your vehicle. Visitors may park without a parking permit. Vehicles must be parked in an authorized parking space within one of the three public parking lots.
Parking Regulations & Fines
Genesee Community College’s parking regulations are designed to provide safe, accessible, and convenient parking for students, faculty, staff and visitors. Failure to comply with the parking regulations may result in a parking fine and/or towing and impoundment of the vehicle at the owner’s expense, depending on the severity and frequency of the violation.
Parking Violation Payment
Payment must be received within 30 days of the date of violation notice. You can pay your parking violation:
- Online
- In-person: Bring the parking violation notice to the SUNY GCC Business Office between the hours of 8am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday
- By mail
Mail your check made payable to “Genesee Community College” to:

Parking Violation Notice Appeal
You have the right to appeal a parking violation ticket. To file an appeal, complete and submit an appeal form within 10 days of the date of the parking violation notice. Appeal forms can be obtained from campus safety or downloaded by clicking the link below. Public Safety Officers do not have the authority to individually hear a verbal appeal. All initial appeals must be in writing and will be adjudicated by the Dean of Students/Appeal Committee.
